What is the difference between Airbrush and Traditional Foundation?
Airbrush foundation for Brides is either water-based or silicon based and can be a long wearing makeup option. It’s applied through an airbrush using a small air compressor. As airbrush makeup is applied, it feels like a fine mist hitting your face and dries into a smooth, flawless finish that feels very light on the skin. It is long wearing, non-transferable, and ideal for high heat, humidity, weddings and dancing all night!
Airbrush foundation for Brides can work well for people with oilier skin, or blemished skin as it tends to stay put longer. Sometimes it can come down to what brand works best for you and your skin.
Your Bridal makeup artist will mix foundation tones to match your skin. Generally It will not transfer onto clothing. Your bridal trial is the time to try it out, don’t worry if you don’t get it the first time, book in for another foundation trial and try a different method/brand, that’s what a trial is all about.
As with any makeup medium, The Powder Room can control the coverage from sheer to full coverage with both airbrush or traditional foundations. Ultimately, it is what you feel most comfortable with and the type of finish you would like for your bridal makeup look.
